Registered Nursing Prerequisite COURSES
Pacific College offers prerequisite courses for registered nursing programs. The six courses Pacific College requires for admission to its RN Program may also qualify for credit to other schools that accept courses completed at schools accredited by WASC Senior College & University Commission (WSCUC); however, transfer credit is always the decsision of the receiving school.
If you are a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), you may use an academic transcript of completed RN prequisite courses to demonstrate 30 hours of BVNPT Continuing Education (CE) for license renewal as described by 16 CCR § 2540.2. Continuing Education Courses.
LIFE SCIENCE COURSES
“General Human Anatomy (BIOL 225)”, “Human Physiology (BIOL 226)”, and “Medical Microbiology (BIOL 227)” start five times each year and each course lasts approximately 10 weeks.
Pacific College is accepting applications for the upcoming life science courses and general education courses:
Option 1: One payment of $1200.00 (plus cost of books)
Option 2: Two payments of $700.00, initial payment with a follow up payment of $700.00 = $1400.00 (plus cost of books)
Option 3: Three payments of $500, initial payment with two follow up payments of $500.00 = $1500.00 (plus cost of books)
General Human Anatomy (BIOL 225) - 4 credits
General Human Physiology (BIOL 226) - 4 credits
Prerequisite: Grade of “C” or better in BIOL 225 or its equivalent.Medical Microbiology (BIOL 227) - 4 credits
Prerequisite: Grade of “C” or better in BIOL 225 and BIOL 226 or their equivalents.
English, Speech, and Algebra
Option 1: Initial payment of $525.00 with a follow-up payment of $525.00 before the course ends. We also have been issuing an eBook for our GEs due to quarantine restrictions. Not during quarantine, we have hard copy books that are loaned out with a credit card put on file.
